I am excited to enter my 4th year at Graham Middle School I have taught 7th grade, 8th grade, and Algebra students. Middle school years can be challenging for students to navigate. Combine this with the content that we will be introducing this year, and math class can be challenging for the even the most accomplished mathematician. I am a firm believer that nobody was born a great mathematician, and anyone can learn math. Failure need not be permanent--in fact, we need to treat failure as a welcome opportunity to improve and learn new things. I try to instill this mindset in my daughter Molly, who started 1st grade in a Spanish immersion program.

This link brings you to the introduction for the 7th grade content standards. You can click on the specific domains from the menu at the right side of the page. Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium is the state led consortium that is developing the tests we are taking. This link is to their home page. I would urge you to explore and find out more. SBAC Testing: This is the link to the main page dedicated to testing. You can learn more about the test here.
