This lesson asked students to multiply and divide exponents with the same base. They saw that when you multiply and divide exponents with the same base, you keep the base and add or subtract the exponents.
We officially began Grade 8 content with a lesson on exponential notation on March 9.
This lesson was done on Thursday, March 5, and focused on finding the area of objects based on scale drawings and scale factors. It was the last lesson we completed prior to our short assessment on Friday March 6
This lesson took a few days, and was important to get through. We looked at scale drawings and determined actual lengths based off of them. This lesson foreshadows Lesson 55, which will discuss area.
This lesson took a few days, but was worth spending extra time with. It covers important concepts and skills including drawing objects to scale and identifying scale factors based on looking at two images.
This lesson was our first back from break and it involved us looking at and creating scale drawings and identifying the relationship (i.e. proportional relationship) between the actual picture/object and the scale drawing.

This lesson was completed on Feb 6 on percent error. We estimated, and used absolute error to determine the percent error.
